Do my friends need an account to add items?
Nope! Your friends do not need an account to join the group cart.
Is it secure to use the group cart?
We’ve built the group cart with security in mind, so no personally identifiable information (PII) is stored in the group cart. Plus only people with the shared link can view your cart.
If I share my group cart with a friend, can they access my personal cart?
Absolutely not. Your personal cart is only visible to you, regardless of whether you’ve shared a group cart with others.
Who pays for the order?
It’s up to you and your group to decide who will act as the “Captain” and pay for the entire order at checkout. Once the order is placed, the Captain can let everyone know how much they owe for their items (plus their share of the shipping), so they can do the reimbursement.
Does it cost extra to use this feature?
Absolutely not. It's completely free! We built this feature specifically to help you save money on per-order costs and delivery fees.
Where do I find the 'Group Cart' button?
It is living in your Cart Drawer (the slide-out cart on the right side of the screen). Once you are there, you'll see it at the top menu bar.
After a group order is placed, who can amend the order?
For security reasons, only the person who paid for the group order can make changes to it. Please be aware that once an order is picked by our personal shoppers, it can no longer be amended or cancelled. Go Potatoes’ Terms of Service, and the standard Refund and Return Policy will still apply to all group orders.
Will the order ship to all the group members directly?
Nah, everything ships in one single delivery to the address the Captain provided at checkout. That’s how you keep the shipping costs per member lower! Once the parcel arrives, get together to divvy out the items and settle the bill!
What if my friend doesn't pay me back?
Sharing a cart is based on trust, so we recommend only doing group orders with people you know well (like family members, flatmates, whānau, or close workmates). A pro-tip: ask your friends to bank transfer you their share before you hit the checkout button as the Captain!
Can I return a product if my friend changes their mind?
Our standard return policy applies to all group orders. Generally, we can not offer refunds or returns for "change of mind", so make sure your friends are 100% sure about that 2kg jar of peanut butter before you going to checkout!
